Its been called "the final answer to illegal downloading", and it is good! Free music that is finally completely approved of and a catalog that you will never find the end of.. the catch? Its in Beta and you have to be "invited".. its also not available in the U.S.. The loophole? I thought you'd never ask.

Download client, works for mac/windows and perfect under linux with wine as well!
For now Spotify doesnt seem to check your IP being used to stream the music..

the proxy that you gave is currently down and i cannot find any other proxy that will work with spotify.com. If you can find another proxy that works it would be awesome.
this one works but after 2 weeks spotify stop if not uk ip.

agreed : the client periodically checks IP & will not run after 14 days on a non-approved IP. It does offer the chance to upgrade to Premium for "unlimited travel" but you need a local Mastercard/Visa to complete the transaction.
thanks for this. is there a way to block your ip address so it will continue to play? i hope spotify makes it to the us soon :)
why should we have to jump through hoops to use spotify? what idiots, I won't even bother.
Maybe you should jump through hoops to use spotify because it ISNT MEANT TO BE AVAILABLE TO YOU!
if you dont want to jump through the hoops don't use it or wait until it is available properly for you.
at least now you know how the rest of the world feels about services like hulu etc
